Who should attend: Managers, team leaders and team members, professionals in diverse organizations.
Duration: One to two days.
Program Format: Participants first calculate the cost of conflict in their organizations. Then they develop an understanding how human physiology is the foundation for conflict and its resolution.
They learn the four essential steps for managing conflict in the workplace:
1. Set the time and place.
a. Uninterrupted
b. At least 90 minutes or until resolved
2. Agree to cardinal rules.
a. No walk-aways
b. No power plays
3. Talk it out.
4. Make a deal.
After practicing each step individually and in groups, participants then participate in a video exercise to observe and analyze how the techniques work in a realistic situation.
