Management Basics
Objectives:
At the end of this course, participants will:

Understand
the principles of time management

Gain
insight into personal style and how it affects use of time

Apply
time management theory to a personal action program for use back
on the job
Who
should attend: All employees needing to improve time management,
especially valuable when team members can all attend.

Manage
activities, not time.

Use
of time is a habit. To change it, we need practice and
reinforcement. After we identify your major time wasters, you
must pick a partner back on the job who can remind you and help
you keep track of new habits.

We
will start with conventional wisdom and rules, then we will
consider when and how to break these rules.

your preferences around getting things done?

We’ll
discuss work patterns based upon your preferred way of giving
and receiving information. This will be examined in both the
external, formal systems and the internal, cognitive systems.

provide a basis of analysis for the group to share their
solutions to managing time on the job
